The Syrian people have long suffered from the hardships caused by war and we sincerely hope that peace and stability will return to Syria at an early date. Having listened carefully to the introduction by Director General Grossi in his introductory statement on Monday, China expresses its appreciation and supports the efforts made by the Director General and the Secretariat to address Syrian nuclear issue, and encourages Syria to earnestly fulfill its safeguards obligations, and to strengthen its communication and cooperation with the IAEA in order to promote the early and proper resolution of related issues.
