Mr. Chair,

The extensive discussion today by Member States on AUKUS under 2 agenda items shows the existence of different views and concerns by all parties, and  further demonstrates the necessity of enhancing communication and dialogue among Member States on AUKUS.

China welcomes all countries that spoke under this item to continue to fully express their views on AUKUS in future meetings. Since the AUKUS is an issue that involves new territory and new practices in safeguards, it is the right of Member States to have an in-depth discussion on this matter, and it is necessary to to so. Let us jointly address the risks and challenges brought by AUKUS with practical actions, defend the NPT, safeguards the international nuclear non-proliferation regime, exercise the "Vienna spirit" and uphold true multilateralism.
